Introduction of Capital Forum
The 10th China
International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), which is
sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China,
co-sponsored by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD),
World Association of Investment Promotion (WAIPA)，
Organization for Economic Co-operation and
Development (OECD), United Nations Industrial Development
Organization (UNIDO) International Finance Corporation (IFC), and
jointly held by Fujian Provincial People’s Government, Xiamen
Municipal Government and Investment Promotion Agency of Ministry of
Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (CIPA), will be held in
Xiamen during Sept.8-11, 2006.
CIFIT is the sole national,
international investment promotion activity in China and by far the
largest international promotion event of its kind in the world. Also
it is the sole investment fair that has passed the authentication of
The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).
Governments, enterprises and investment promotion organizations from
all over the world are widely invited to participate in this fair,
which serves as an important bridge between China and foreign
countries to develop partnership and provide business opportunities.

As a major part of CIFIT,
Capital Forum is becoming a key activity in the course of CIFIT to
represent China to communicate with international capital market.
Capital Forum successfully held ‘The First Summit of World's Major
Stock Exchanges 2003’, ‘Securities Markets& SME Financing Summit
2004’, and ‘Listed Companies governance and supervision summit
2005’.
The 4th Capital
Forum is scheduled to be held in Xiamen International Conference
Center on September 7th, 2006. The theme of the 4th
forum is ‘Chinese enterprises’ Transnational M&A Summit 2006’. The
high level leaders of China Securities Regulatory Commission,
Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China and State
Administration of Foreign Exchange; Person in charge from world’s
major stock exchanges; high level leader of world-famous investment
banks and of investment and M&A organizations, together with senior
financial consultants, lawyers and accountants with rich experience
in transnational M&A, and famous M&A enterprises representatives
will gather together in Xiamen and have discussions on many issues.
In the forum they will exchange opinions about new policies,
theories and practices with an increasing tendency of transnational
M&A in the world especially in Chinese enterprises, under the
circumstance of China’s state-owned enterprises reform, China’s
industry conformity, the complete circulation of stock, the
investment and retreat of the international private fund, foreign
M&A as well as Chinese enterprises’ oversea investment. The forum
provides a platform for Chinese enterprises, foreign investors and
securities regulatory department to better communicate with each
other and helps promote the healthy, positive M&A in the
